We are a booking agent administering the provision of intensive driving courses, booking driving tests and allocating pupils to a self-employed subcontractor who is a registered DVSA driving instructor.
To avoid disappointment and to encourage transparency please read the terms and conditions underneath before booking, so we both know where we stand and how the course functions.

Throughout the terms and condition, we will be referring to the following terms:
  • ‘You’: this is the pupil - the person named on the booking form.
  • 'The instructor' means the self-employed instructor - a subcontractor who is a registered DVSA approved driving instructor. This means each driving instructor is acting on his/her own. The contract for driving tuition is solely between you and your instructor.
  • ‘We or us, Learn In One Week Ltd, administrative staff' means the driving school administering the provision of the driving course, booking the tests and allocating you to a self-employed subcontractor who is a registered DVSA driving instructor.

Terms and conditions

1. Each course is for the total sum of hours booked. The total hours of the course reserved incorporates the time required for taking your practical test and commute home toward the finish of the course. Extra hours can be reserved with your instructor at the concurred hourly rate (this can be concurred between you the pupil and your instructor)

2. All pupils must pass the required visual perception test (20.5m or 67 ft). This will typically be directed by your driving instructor on the principal lesson, should you come up short the visual perception checks the course would need to be deserted until the point when you have amended your vision. 3. If your instructor feels that you are not ready to take your practical driving test, due to safety reasons, then you the pupil will not be allowed to take your driving test. If this is the case, you will lose your test fee and will not be offered a refund of any unused hours or any deposit or test fees.

4. The cost cited on the course page incorporate a fast tracked practical test, which we book and arrange for you. If you require a theory test there is an addition cost of £45. The cost of your practical test included in the course fee is generally £92 for weekdays only. For extended Practical test it's £133. Once these tests are reserved for you they are non-refundable. You can book all these tests yourself for less on the official DVSA website. However, you would have to generally wait on their waiting list, which can take up to 10 to 12 weeks for a practical, in addition to locate your own cancellations. However, our fees include your lesson expenses to deal with your booking which incorporates acquiring brisk cancellations for your practical tests.

5.  Deposit refunds: Should we fail to distribute an instructor for your coveted start date, you will be informed of this. On the off chance that an instructor is then assigned for any week following this, without a discount being asked for, the deposit would likewise be non-refundable. On the off chance that you wish to acquire a deposit discount since we can't satisfy your unique coveted start date, you would need to advise us promptly at the point we make you mindful we would be endeavouring to book your course for one more week, before it is allotted to that driving instructor. 6. Once a deposit has been gotten the deposit becomes non-refundable and the pupil has a time limit of 3 months to pre-book their course. However, once the course starts the student needs to finish the course inside the specified time constrain. Should we not get notification from the pupil for a time of 3 months at that point any outstanding deposit is relinquished, and test expenses lost.

7. Once the course hours have been organised into the driving instructor’s diary, if a pupil then cancels a driving day and it is less than 1 full clear week from the lesson due date, then those lessons will be forfeited and time lost. We cannot rearrange a course once you have agreed the times with the driving instructor at short notice.

8. The total time you book with us includes break times and time to hire the car for the practical test and drive you home / back to your agreed meeting point at the end of the test.

9. All courses are booked and based on average learning capabilities from past client experience and are a rough guide only. No guarantees can be implied by any advisor or instructor. You should be prepared for extra tuition if it is felt that it is required before you can safely attend the driving test.

10. Practical test accessibility is liable to tests made accessible by the driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). All endeavours will be made by us to secure a practical test, which is local to the pupil. On the off chance that no test is accessible for the last day of your course then you may save a couple of hours and return a following week to take your test once a reasonable test space has been found.

11. The agreement of an intensive course is between the pupil and the driving instructor. Any disputes or claims should therefore be taken up with the instructor firstly and not with Learn In One Week. We cannot be held liable for any compensation claim from a pupil, nor can we be held responsible for any traffic violation on the part of the pupil or the instructor. Learn In One Week acts as a booking agent for successful bookings.

12. The deposit which is the initial part payment for your course is payable on booking a course to LearnInOneWeek.co.uk, which allows us to book your test in advance, searching for your quick practical test and reserve an instructor. The deposit is not the full balance and it’s also non-refundable.

13. The remaining balance of any course is payable directly to the instructor whom is teaching you. The instructor may request payment WEEK/s IN ADVANCE before the course is due to start to ensure that the pupil is intending to go ahead with the course and will not let the instructor down at the last minute.

14. Failure to pay for the remaining balance of the course when requested by Instructor will result in immediate course cancellation, you will lose the deposit paid. Should you pay the remaining balance to LearnInOneWeek Ltd, then we would only be acting as an intermediary and would transfer the money to the allocated instructor.

15. In the unlikely event that we cannot fulfil your booking and allocate you an instructor, a full refund of the deposit will be given. If we have started working on your booking, you will incur an admin charge £45.00.

  15.1. All bookings are a provisional start date until confirmed directly with your driving instructor. Should an instructor be unavailable for your desired start week, we would automatically search for a start the following week until the course is allocated.

16. In the unlikely event of the instructor’s vehicle breaking down during the course, a refund of the outstanding lesson time and outstanding test fees will be made if an alternative instructor cannot be arranged. Lessons taken will be charged at the standard hourly rate.

17. LearnInOneWeek Ltd and your driving instructor can't be held obligated for any misfortunes resulting about course cancellation or test cancellation because of any of the accompanying reasons - Covid 19 Lockdown/ tier restrictions, driving course or driving test cancellation because of terrible climate, for instance snow or ice, analyst sickness, examiner strike, instructor ailment, vehicle breakdown and recall on vehicles. Where possible your instructor will organize another date to complete the course in case of any of the above situations.

18. Kindly don't make any travel or accommodation arrangements if you are taking the course with a pick up from home. Kindly don't book time off work until the point that you have addressed your designated driving instructor and examined and affirmed your timetable, all appointments are a temporary begin date until affirmed with your driving instructor. Should an instructor be inaccessible for your coveted begin week, we would automatically search for a start the following week until the course is allocated.  

19. If the pupil falls ill and cannot continue the course for any reason, we would look to re-organise the course for a time when you are fit and well again.  If you fall ill and need to cancel any lessons without a weeks notice, these hours may be forfeited unless the instructor states otherwise.

20. Due to the recent development of Coronavirus, if the instructor or pupil has to self isolate and the course has to be delayed, then you would not be entitled to a refund, you would rearrange the course when you are both fit and well.
FAQs

The course

1. All courses are undertaken with a DVSA registered self-employed instructor are on an individual basis.

2. No assurance can be made of test accessibility, particularly if your theory test is about to expire. If a test can't be reserved at the end of the course, at that point an option test will be offered for a date and time agreeable to the pupil and instructor. No refunds of any monies are applicable for this situation. Likewise, if the DVSA cancels a test for unknown reasons, at that point we can't be held responsible/liable for the test expense and any lesson time lost, you may need to buy extra lessons to retake the test.

3. If payment is received by an instructor for a course of lessons and the pupil does not complete the course, then the remaining hours are valid for a period of 1 month if you must reschedule some of the hours, at the instructor’s discretion. After this time, the lessons and test fees will be forfeited, and no refund will be given.

4. All our instructors have been approved or licenced by the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency.

5. The car provided by the instructor will be comprehensively insured with a reputable insurer. A pupil can request to see insurance documentation from their instructor at any time. LearnInOneWeek Ltd cannot be held responsible for any insurance related claims. Any disputes are the responsibility of the instructor.

6. All special offers and course/lesson prices are subject to change without notice and are at the discretion of the company. 

7. Downgrading your Course is not possible under any circumstances.

8. Each Driving Instructor has their own policy regarding cancellation or rearrangement of the Lessons. It is your responsibility to ask your Driving Instructor what their policy is and to comply with their policy.

9. If you want to rearrange a test which we have booked for you with your initial requirements a non-refundable administration fee of £10.00 for the theory test and £20.00 for the practical driving test will be charged.

10. If we had made multiple attempts to contact you and it has been 7 days or more since we had any contact from you, we will place your course on hold until we resume contact from you.

11. If a gift voucher is supplied by LearnInOneWeek.com, then the voucher is valid for a maximum period of 6 months from the date of issue. Gift vouchers are to be used by the person, or persons named on the voucher and are non-transferable.

Your obligations

1. You can satisfy the driving test eyesight requirements; you can read a number plate from 20.5m or 67ft.

2. You satisfy the DSVA requirements regarding residency and eligibility requirements.

3. You fill out the booking form correctly so that we can carry out our administration duties.

4. You make us aware before booking of any health issues either mental or physical which may affect your ability to perform as expected on an intensive driving course.

5. You agree to book time off work or make travel or accommodation arrangements only once the hours have been agreed in full of instructor who has called you and confirmed a detailed lesson schedule. 

6. You agree the full course hours and make a note of the hours that have been agreed with the driving instructor (minus the final few hours if we need to save some for a driving test to be arranged) on the initial phone call with the instructor. If these are not satisfactory please call us at this point so that we can arrange an alternative instructor or discuss alternatives. If we are notified at the office, once the course has begun that you cannot do certain times and dates, or the instructor cannot complete the course with you in a certain time scale, then we are powerless to try to move the course to another local instructor.

7. You attend your lessons on time. Failure to do so will result in you losing time and the driving school/instructor has no obligation in such circumstances to add time to the end of your lesson. The instructor will wait for a short period of time for a pupil at the agreed meeting point, if you are not in the car at the meeting time, and haven't contacted your instructor, we will assume the lesson has been terminated with you and move on to another lesson. The instructor is under no obligation to add this time on at the end of the course and the time will be forfeited.

8. You attend the theory test and practical test on time and take both parts of a valid provisional driving licence with you when you attend. Theory test booking conformations will be sent via email to the email address you provide for us on your booking form. Failure to attend will result in loss of the test fee and you will have to pay for the next one.

9. You email us, call us or  text us with your theory pass number as soon as you pass it, so that we can book a practical test on the same day and begin the process of finding you a driving test cancellation.

10. You must not be under the influence of drink or drugs at any time during your course. If we, or a representative of LearnInOneWeek, suspect or detect any sign of this, the remainder of the course will be terminated, and you will lose all fees paid, both the deposit and any lesson fees paid to your instructor.

11. A professional approach is required by the pupil and no abusive behaviour towards the instructor will be tolerated. The course will be terminated, and any monies paid will be forfeited in such an event.

12. You supply on the first lesson a signed provisional driving licence. If you fail to produce a valid provisional driving licence, the driving school / instructor cannot by law permit you to drive a car and accordingly your booking will be cancelled, and any fees forfeited.

13. As the practical driving test and theory test require you to apply your own skill and knowledge, LearnInOneWeek   does not and cannot guarantee that you will pass your practical driving test or theory test.

14. The construction, validity and performance of any contract shall be governed in all respects by the laws of England, Scotland and Wales.

Privacy
1. LearnInOneWeek Ltd is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully – in accordance with the Data Protection act 1998.

2. Any personal information which we hold to process your booking will be held securely in accordance with the law and will not be sold or passed on to a third party.
You must bring the following with you to your test:
your valid signed GB (or Northern Ireland) photocard licence – the photocard must be presented
or, your old style valid signed GB (or Northern Ireland) paper driving licence and valid passport; (holders of non-UK passports should check that they are eligible to take a driving test here)

It is a legal requirement to produce your licence and photographic evidence. If you do not bring these items with you, or you are late for your test, you will not be allowed to sit your test and you will lose your fee.

Re-schedule policy
If you need to reschedule your test, you must allow at least three clear working days before your test date, to avoid losing your fee. For example, to reschedule a test booked for a Friday you must inform us on the previous Monday.
Cancellation policy

If you need to cancel your test, you must allow at least three clear working days before your test date, to avoid losing your fee. For example, to cancel a test booked for a Friday you must inform us on the previous Monday.

General rules
Please turn up at the test centre 15 minutes before your appointment is due, so that you can check in.
All test centres are audio and visually monitored for quality and security purposes.
Issues / Refunds / Complaints policy


We take any complaint against the service seriously as we aim to provide excellent service throughout. If you feel we have let you down or you feel the need to cancel the course, please email us at complaint@learninoneweek.co.uk. We must investigate all matters so please provide as much information as possible. We aim to investigate all matters as quickly as possible so will respond within 7 days, simple matters should be resolved within 48/72 hours.
